Hello and welcome to the beginning of my blog!
I have thought about starting a blog for soooooo long but never actual did anything about it, but here I am sat staring at a computer screen not actually sure where to begin.
So lets start by making things simple……
Who am I?
Am Lyndsey a 30 something year old (who likes to think am younger than I am!) who became a proud mum 9 years ago to my wonderfully sweet, caring, kind, thoughtful boy, little Robster (who isn’t so little anymore) followed three years later by our first daughter Princess P who is the crazy, feisty, emiotonal, independent one of our family.
Then we completed our family just a short 6 months ago with the arrival of our baby girl Ollie Dolly. She filled a hole in our family we never knew that existed. She is the most happiest content little baby ever, she loves being right in the middle of our crazy lives.
Am very lucky to be married to Rosco who is the most amazing person I know. He works crazy long hours, he’s often away with work and is never ever completely work free, therefore am often solo parenting. For him being so busy he never says no. He is always up for an activity whether its bike rides, golfing, football coaching, playing table tennis or getting his nails painted, dressing up in princess wigs and putting on a show. He also deserves a medal for putting up with me and all my crazy ideas.
I live a in the suburbs of Aberdeen in a fab little community where I have made some of my best friends who I have way to many trips to the local coffee shop with or sometimes far too much wine. I love all things crafty and pintrest is my best friend at times. I love a home improvement and often change the decor in the house on a regularly bases, but most of all I love being a mum.
As you can imagine life is pretty busy there’s always something going on, the house is very rarely quiet.
Why now?
The answer is simple it’s for my own benefit, for me to remember every moment of the now. It truly amazes me how much I have forgotten from Robster being a babe in arms to little Ollie Dollie. The passed 9 years have truly past in a flash. It’s not until I want to remember little bits and pieces that I realise I have forgotten so much. I take contest photos of the children and what they are up to but when I look back at them I what to remember the stories behind every photo. I want to be able to look back and remember everything from our holidays to the everyday life of school runs, after school activities , meal times, the organising of a busy family of 5 because I fear am going to blink and soon they will no longer be depended on me.
I want my children to look back in years to come and see their childhood through my eyes, the bits the will have forgotten, the parts they don’t see.
My Blog
It will not be any sort of work of art, in fact my writing skills as next to zero!
It will be a family blog, full of days out, holidays, cooking ideas (mainly a thousand different ways to cook mince, Bolognese, chilli, cottage pie etc), life hacks and of course my love of a cleaning product!
So come and join in on this journey of life, it will probably won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but its my cup of tea and I love it.
